THE FIRST POST!

Hello everyone.

We wanted to start by saying yay we have our own blog! You can come here to check it out every once in a while. We are expecting and thought that this would be a good way to keep everyone updated and in touch.

Here is what we know:
*We are due August 16th
*Laura did get sick during the first few months, but never threw up. Already a miracle baby.
*Laura is starting to feel better but now has to wear rubber bands on her pants to hold them up because she is beginning to expand...
*The first visit to the doctor, Laura got an ultrasound. We can't figure out how to post the video, but we have seen the baby and know that it really is there. It was kicking and everything!
*The second doctor's visit, we heard the heart beating. It was really fun to hear it.
*Benjamin was very supportive of Laura and held her hand through the whole second visit to the doctor because she had to have her blood drawn. (Laura is still bitter about the bruise for a week and a half after, but she is proud that she did not run away or even fight... ok, maybe a little.)
*The next appointment is on March 8th. We don't think anything substantial will happen at this one. Just can't wait until April 15th.
*YES EVERYONE, THAT IS RIGHT. WE WILL BE FINDING OUT THE GENDER, AND WANT TO KNOW YOUR VOTE. Please vote in the survey on the left by the appointment on April 15th so we know what everyone is thinking about the gender... We can't wait!

The baby stuff is going pretty well. Benjamin gives Laura lots of massages and makes her breakfast all of the time. What a great husband!
