We mainly just wanted to put some pics on here. Laura is really excited to be done student teaching but realizes now that she will miss her students.
The Haley update: She is almost 8 months old now! She has one tooth barely poking through as of last week. Now she lives with her tongue sticking out, rubbing that new tooth. She army crawls anywhere she wants and manages to find every tiny thing on the floor to stick in her mouth (we have newish carpet so she often finds little strands laying around). She started waving a little and even claps if she is happy enough. She is a very happy girl and has the brightest eyes you've ever seen.
We moved to an apartment in Rigby so that we could rent both our houses out before we leave for Des Moines. The move was no fun at all (Laura and Benjamin were both sick with the flu) but we had a ton of help from the family. We couldn't have done it without them.
This last weekend we had a really fun trip down to Salt Lake for conference. As soon as Laura got done with school on Friday we finished packing up and headed out. We got to Benjamin's mission reunion at about 9:00pm and got to see Barrick, Olguin, Barrett, the Websters, and a few other missionaries. It was a lot of fun. We spent the night at Uncle Kim and Aunt Pam's, being assaulted by their puppy Ike. On Saturday morning we grabbed our tickets and headed to conference while Aunt Pam, Mckenna, and Morgan watched Haley. Laura hadn't ever been inside the conference center, let alone watch confence live. It was a really great experience. After conference we visited Grandma Arde
n in the rehab center and then went back to Aunt Pam's in Kaysville. We watched the afternoon session and then got back in the car (with Haley this time) and met Brandon and Michelle at the Rodizio Grill. It was soooo good to have beans with farofa! The meat was prime as well. Benjamin hurried to the Priesthood Session with Uncle Kim. We went out to Jamba Juice with Shane and Kali that night. We spent the night at Grandpa Art's. On Sunday morning we visited Grandma Arden and watched conference at Grandpa's. It was really good to hang out with him. On Monday morning we left at about ten and went to the conference center where we had a tour (which was really neat). Then we went to the Heber C. Kimball cemetery and up the Spence home. Finally we went to the pioneer museum (where we only stayed for a minute cause Haley needed food and a nap). From there it was home. What an awesome weekend that we probably won't forget for a while.
