So Laura has been working on the District 91 musical in Idaho Falls for... a VERY long time. She is the primary choreographer and has cleaned the stuff that others have done. It is opening for the first night show on Friday, March 14th and will run friday, saturday, monday and tuesday at Eagle Rock Junior High School. It is across the street from Skyline parallel to Broadway in Idaho Falls. It starts at 7:30pm(?) and should be fun. They are performing Bye Bye Birdie. It is cute. Laura is a little worried because it is not coming together as quickly as she anticipated, but she thinks they will pull it off just fine!
For those of you that are not familiar with the show, it is about a character based on Elvis being drafted and the publicity stunt that surrounds it because of his agents. It has "Put on a Happy Face" and a few other famous songs that everyone would recognize. Laura thinks it is worth the ticket just to see the Conrad Birdie, the "Elvis character", dance around in a sparkly, blue outfit with fringe on it. Completely ridiculous!
Thanks for the support and for caring what is going on in Laura's life!
Benjamin just drew the tag to go Turkey hunting. He will be going just after school gets out. (HE WILL BE GRADUATED!) He is frantically trying to finish his schoolwork and go to work to support the family. He also works hard to make sure everything runs smoothly in the ward for his calling. Laura is grateful for all of the time and effort he puts into everything that he does.
